Library Staff

Julie has worked with the Franklin County Public Library District since 2002. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree. Prior work experience in the fields of research and history includes employment with the Hamilton County Park District in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Cincinnati Museum Center and the National Park Service at the William Howard Taft National Historic Site in Mt. Auburn, a suburb of Cincinnati. In addition to overseeing the local history and genealogy department with the Franklin County Public Library District, Julie is involved with the Franklin County Cemetery Commission and is the Indiana Genealogical Society’s representative for Franklin County. She is also a certified Master Gardener, with butterfly gardening being a primary hobby. Over the years she has hand-raised hundreds of Monarchs, Pipevine Swallowtails and Black Swallowtails. A variety of programming options are available from this department for schools, libraries and local organizations, concerning history, genealogy and gardening.
