We’ll be meeting 2nd & 4th Thursdays at the Brookville Library at 5pm.  We’ll draw a genre out of the hat each month, but you can read whatever you want that fits the genre-of-the-month.

Teens are invited to come and compete in the ultimate cooking competition.  You’ll have to prepare a secret recipe for our judges.  Plates will be judged on presentation, creativity, and taste.

Bring your deck (if you don’t have one, there will be cards available for sale) and join Justin from Andrews Gaming for a Magic the Gathering Tournament. This is a complex fantasy card game with loads of strategy and tactics – a magic 1geek paradise!  Come and join the fun at the Laurel Library on Tuesday, Aug. 19th at 4:30pm.

Young Adult Hula Hoop Contest

hula hoop 1Come and make your own custom hula hoop, then stay for the contest.  Events will include:  traditional hula hooping, arm spinning, leg spinning, passing to a partner, and much more.  Bring a friend and have some fun at this unique program for teens and young adults.  Registration is required so that we have the right amount of materials.

INVENTION CONVENTION & Art Show

Wanted: inventions, models, machines, paintings, drawings, photos, or other projects that you’ve made.  Show us your creativity.  If you’re an artist/inventor/builder of any kind we want to see!  Bring your items to the Laurel Library on Friday, July 25th or the Brookville Library on Saturday, July 26th.  Items will be on display for 1 week.  4-H projects are welcome.
