Ready, Set, Read!

Sign-ups for the Franklin County Public Library District’s Summer Reading Program “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” start on June 21 and 22!

Readers of all ages are invited to participate in our six-week program where they are rewarded for meeting their reading goals.

Everyone who signs up will receive a reading/adventure log. For every 100 minutes marked on the reading log, participants will receive a ticket to put towards door prizes of their choice at the end of the program. Prizes include toys, books, tickets to Kings Island, the Cincinnati Zoo, and Entertrainment Junction, an autographed F.C. Cincinnati Soccer rally towel, Indianapolis Motor Speedway admission tickets, and much more!

New this year, readers can earn points toward an adventure box prize by completing the summer adventures listed on the log.

Our first kick-off event day will be at the Heap/Hofer Town Aquatic Center on June 21 from 12-6 p.m. There will be free admission for the first 100 swimmers. Sign-ups for the reading program will be happening at the pool and at both library branches.

We will also be celebrating on June 22 at Laurel Library with a cookout from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join us for cookout foods, a door prize drawing, and yard games!

Reading program participants do not need to be residents of Franklin County or have a library card to participate. Follow our Facebook page to stay up-to-date with all the free programming we will offer during the summer.

Happy reading!
