2012 Summer Reading Program

Please join us at Brookville and Laurel for this year’s Summer Reading Program!

Children’s Theme:

Dream Big…Read – From the constellations to nocturnal animals to things that go bump in the night, come explore the night with us during our Summer Reading Program. We have amazing programs, fun crafts, coloring contests, story times, and great weekly reading prizes throughout the end of May and the whole month of June! Earn tickets for the Finale Party prizes by reading, attending programs and activities. Sign up at either library beginning May 21st!

Teen Theme:

Own the Night – Attention Monsters, Jazz Musicians, Mad Scientists, Gangsters, and Teens! Your local library has everything you need to…”Own the Night”! Join our Summer Reading Program and find out what we have to help you add a spark of light to your summer nights. Earn “Star Bucks” for reading, attending programs, and participating in other activities. Bring all the “cash” you’ve earned to the Teen Prize Auction at the end of the program on June 28th. Register at either library beginning May 21st!

 

Adult Theme:

Between the Covers – There are all sorts of adventures waiting for you “Between the Covers” of a book! The adult Summer Reading Program will begin May 21st and end August 17th. We have a variety of programs available all summer – everything from Bedroom Makeovers to Re-purposing old books into purses to Yoga to help you relax to Memoir Writing! Something for everyone! We will also be making a quilt which will be given away to some lucky person at the end of the summer! Every time you read a book, a block will be added to the quilt!
